Book 1: A Shield Against the Darkness (1925) - Ex-fighter pilot Jack McGraw is drafted into a secret paramilitary science organization rescuing artifacts of mystical power from the clutches of a sinister cult led by an evil sorcerer! Book 2: Assassins of the Lost Kingdom (1926) - Someone is murdering the titans of industry with a mysterious poison, and the victims are all AEGIS patrons. Jack McGraw and Dorothy "Doc" Starr are recalled to intervene. Reunited with their old crew, Jack and Doc try to solve the murders and riddle out the source of the toxin, while trying not to run afoul of federal agents, Harlem bootleggers, and cultists of the Silver Star. Their journey takes them to northern India, to a remote valley in the Himalayas, where the source of the poison still grows wild. With Jack and Doc trapped in the valley among strange fauna and enemy soldiers, the crew encounters an old foe they thought was vanquished.

Book 3: The Golden City (1927) - Jack and Doc find themselves back with AEGIS, flying a redesigned Daedalus. After raiding an ancient Celtic tomb on a windswept Scottish isle in search of the Dagger of Lir, the couple is ambushed by Silver Star commandos. A razor-thin escape and wrestling match with a storm leads to a new mission: locate the airship Percival, under the command of their former crewmate, Duke. From car chases through London, Athens and Cairo to dogfights with enemy planes and fascist Italian secret police, the Daedalus and her crew are pushed to their aboslute limit as they track the Percival to an ancient city in the Egyptian desert, buried in the sand. From there, the fight continues, both in the skies and deep underground, as Silver Star cultists attempt to raise the dead and call forth an ancient entity with an appetite for human flesh.
