Ascension

The discovery of ancient texts carved in stone and on metallic paper was only the beginning of an adventure on two separate worlds linked inexorably by the past. The difficult translation and the unraveling of a mystery that dated back to before the recorded dawn of mankind almost ended in disaster and trapped one member in limbo between the two worlds. Records of devastation and resurrection coupled with ancient technology and genetic manipulation provided clues to where we came from and how to connect with descendants of a long forgotten mythical race. On one world a dying and archaic council stands in the way of contacting the only hope they have of survival. Magic combines with science in a race against time to save one world from destruction while providing the other with a better future. Ruling governments on both worlds create opposition to completing the tasks required to make a life changing connection and attempting to complete their long-awaited reuniting.
