Deanna made sure that she had plenty of time in case of unexpected traffic and drove to the facility around eight o'clock, buzzing at the gate, her hands trembling against the wheel.

When the gates locked behind her, she would be trapped inside.

Nothing could have persuaded her to leave now though, and as the gates swung open she allowed her car to crawl forward and proceeded up the ramp of the parking garage. She had been instructed to park in a specific slot on a pre-determined level of the building, and as she pulled into the designated place, she realized that although there were a few other cars littered about this level, there wasn't a soul to be seen.
