Delhi Stopover

A struggling actress in L.A., Lila is visiting her painter aunt and fashion designer cousin in India after a bad break-up. When she gets drawn into the modeling circuit of Delhi, her fresh face makes her much in demand and she signs with a prestigious, famously cruel agent. Now her trip to Delhi isn't a mere stopover; it's a new life. Lila has to decide if she wants to go repair her relationship and career in L.A., or get caught in the vortex of drugs and sex and ego in this so-called glamorous new world.

Tulika Mehrotra is a Chicago-based author and journalist. Born in Lucknow, India, she grew up in the Midwest. She received her Bachelors in finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and her fashion design degree from the European Institute of Design in Milan, Italy. Following a short stint studying French in Paris, Tulika entered Manhattan's fashion industry. Intrigued by entertainment's ability to dictate trends, she soon sought creative outlet in media. Leaving New York behind for Los Angeles, she delved into the evolving media industry with a focus on India.

In addition to Delhi Stopover, she is the author of Crashing B-Town, a novel that delves into the world of India's films, focused specifically on Mumbai. Tulika is also a contributing writer to Elle, Vogue, Grazia and India Today magazine and has interviewed several international celebrities and designers. Currently, she is working on her third novel.
