On August 19, 1942, the largest amphibious raid of World War 2 was carried out by the 2nd Canadian Division. The raid was a tragic failure and has become the most traumatic loss in Canadian military history. This failure raised many questions about the raid, this book examines those questions by comparing the events of other amphibious landings and battles.
