My friend Dorothy is very, very big. Plus, she always drops crumbs when she eats, and birds often land on her head without her realizing it. Those are some of the reasons why the others don't accept her and even ask me not to be friends with someone who is so differentas if being different were a bad thing! You know something? I don't just think she's wonderful she's my best friend, too. To the naked eye, we couldn't be more different, but the truth is we have a great time when we're together.

Mi amiga Dorothy es muy, muy grande; siempre deja caer miguitas cuando come y muchas veces se le posan pájaros en la cabeza sin que ella se dé cuenta. Por estas y otras razones, las demás no la aceptan e incluso me piden que no me junte con una amiga tan diferente. ¡Como si ser diferente fuera algo malo! Para mí ella no es solo maravillosa también es mi mejor amiga. A simple vista no nos parecemos en nada, pero nos lo pasamos en grande cuando estamos juntas.

Un cuento divertido y entrañable que nos desvela la riqueza que suponen esas personas especiales que todos tenemos a nuestro alrededor, aquellas que más nos necesitan y que tantas alegrías nos pueden aportar en nuestro día a día.
