The unintended consequences of technology addiction have caught up with humanity. An NYPD officer arrives at an apartment where a woman has suddenly dropped off the health grid network. What she soon discovers forms a familiar picture of prescription drug abuse in a world where many people must take powerful drugs known as "empathics" in order to experience basic human empathy. Mikel J. Wisler is a writer and filmmaker who lives near Boston. He is the author of two books, "Unidentified", a novel about alien abduction that blends sci-fi and horror; and "Short Films 2.0: Getting Noticed in the YouTube Age", a practical guide to understanding how digital distribution has changed the medium of short films dramatically.
