The winter holiday season can be one of joy, but it can also be a trying time in relationships. This twelve-story anthology looks at the dynamics of gay male relationships and encounters during the Thanksgiving-to-New Year's period.
In some of the stories, relationships are enhanced, in some they are challengedand in some the holidays don't make all that much difference to the nature of the "hunt"just like in real life. All of the stories are set in contemporary time and all but one of them are set in the United States. "Christmas Market Sweets" is set in Rothenberg, Germany, a well-preserved medieval walled town habu has visited periodically through his life, during the Christmas market festivities. One story, "Tis the Season to Misjudge" is set in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and one is set on the ski slopes of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and two are set in the Midwest, in Indiana and Kansas, but the remaining U.S.-scene stories are primarily located on the East Coast, ranging down from snowy Vermont to Asheville, North Carolina.
