Just Art is a touching, and sometimes humourous story of Jill's Captain Arthur Frye and his life with his owner. Wanting a Bassett all of his life, but short on funds, the author and his wife Kathy were thrilled to receive an offer of a free Bassett puppy. Expecting a ten pound puppy when he went to pick Art up, the author "saw this huge bundled of fur and slobber thundering towards us down the hallway!" Things with Art weren't always as expected.
Arthur was a rambunctious Bassett Hound who seemed to get into everything. While the most loving pet ever, Art could also be obstinate and sometimes vindictive if he didn't get his way, which happened quite often.
A touching story of patience and love between a man and his best friend.
A worthwhile read for pet owners or those that appreciate humour appropriate for all ages.
