Lion Hunting is a novel. The narrative, narrated in the first person, tells the story of Dumanet and Pitou, two soldier friends who go hunting for a lion who attacked the inhabitants of Bakhara. In a comic Mediterranean style, the story, punctuated by the many memories of Dumanet and Pitou they exchange during energetic dialogues that represent most of the novel, takes place in Algeria at the time of French colonization.
