Lisa & Qhama Book 8: Lazah, Sihle, and a Dog Named Lion

Lazah is a young woman from Embizweni Square in Port Elizabeth. She loses her mother at the tender age of seven and it is her mother's dying wish that she takes care of her siblings. At their mother, Gladys's bedside was Lazah and her younger sister, Sihle. Sihle was four at the time, and they both bore witness to their mother's dying wishes. As young children, they were confused and sad. Their family was torn apart as after her mother's hospitalization, both Sihle and her youngest sister, Cwayita, fell ill and were taken in by their aunts - Xoliswa and Kholiswa. The only time Lazah realizes her mother has passed on is on the day that she is laid to rest. She then lives with her grand-aunt, who also passes away, necessitating Lazah also to move in with her aunt, Kholiswa. This is where she meets the dog, Lion, forging a therapeutic relationship with him, as she battles deep emotional scars and sadness.
