Vivian Bolton is a well-known photographer in Nashville. She has contracts with Capital Records, country music stars want her to photograph their weddings, and she is booked for over a year in advance. She receives the news that her only living relative, her beloved Aunt Mary passed away. Viv has to make a trip to Kansas expecting to close up the house and wrap up her aunt's last wishes. Then the unthinkable happens, she is stalked, shot at, and nearly killed.
Clark Jacobs is Aunt Mary's attorney in Kansas and isn't expecting the exuberant Vivian Bolton. Clark is not only an attorney, but a farmer. A good-looking muscle bond lawyer/farmer. He also has to deliver some news to Vivian that she isn't expecting, and he wasn't wanting to give. In order to inherit Aunt Mary's estate, she must live in Magnolia Cottage for one year.
What happens during that one year is, in a word unbelievable. There seems to be severe forces against Vivian getting her inheritance. So much so that Knight Security and Investigations has to be called in to protect her.
