Mansfield Park by Jane Austen was initially published in 1814 and was the author's third novel. Fanny Price, the main character of the novel is a poor 10 year old girl who is sent away to live with her wealthy relatives at Mansfield Park due to her parents financial hardships. Whilst living with her aunt, uncle and cousins, Fanny is usually treated as someone of a lower social status from her relatives but develops strong feelings towards her kind and caring older cousin Edmond whilst growing up and eventually marries him upon adulthood.
