This book is about the life of Cawta Crow, who lived 26 years (104 seasons), which is very long-lived for an American crow, especially for a male. It is a longitudinal study of his families, his friends, his enemies, and most of all, his experiences over those years. His co-author, Robert William Hult, has studied birds and their behavior for six decades, and as a result, makes the perfect bird whisperer for Cawta.
