I returned after my last tour as a Marine, and the ranch looks the same as it always has. I'd been home for almost a year when dead bodies started showing up on our ranch. My former commander and second lieutenant are responsible, but no one can seem to find them. I've been kidnapped and beaten but never broken. I was seen in the ER for my broken bones and bruises after the militia had their way with me. The attending physician was Dr. Samantha Knighten, and she has become a pain in my neck. She even showed up at my brother's wedding.

When the tall, dark, and handsome Morgan Stover was in my ER for a broken bone, some lacerations, and bruising, I wanted to slap him. He was egotistical, broody, and downright rude. I work one night a week in the local hospital ER, and as my luck would have it, the ahole came in on my shift. His sister-in-law is delightful, but that man is nothing but a rude, obnoxious, pig. He's the worst groomsman on earth. You can tell he's still drunk from last night.
