Issue 2 of Occam Magazine focuses on art. The photographers and artists included in these pages have developed a distinctive, individual style that allows the story of each photograph or collection to present itself unfiltered. As a result, the images selected also help flesh out a story of the individual behind the camera. The photographs are three-dimensional, mixing black and white, muted and vibrant colors, and a spectrum of light and shade, painting a picture of the world behind the scenes and adding depth to the captured image.
Our featured artist is photographer and art director Dmitry Dolzhanskiy, who has traveled from Russia to Dubai to Los Angeles capturing what exists behind the surface of what meets the eye. Having already had his work published in magazines such as Elle, Grazia and Marie Claire, Dmitry has ventured into new creative territory with the release of a fine art collection. His pieces embody the concept of breaking through what is apparent to expose what lies beneath, and the connections between worlds are expertly brought to light in each captured moment.
This issue is presented as a metaphysical gallery of art exploring art, expressed through both fashion and photography. As such, we invite you to venture behind the lens, erase perceived distances between the worlds we inhabit, and visually introduce yourself to new cultures, ideas, and individuals that make up each moment in our shared time, equally and infinitely divided among us but never lessened. Welcome to our Issue 2 photo book.
