"Playboy After Dark", which debuted in October 1968, was a revamped edition of a show featuring Hugh Hefner and friends. The earlier show aired in 1959-1960. It lasted a single year on CBS-TV. "Playboy After Dark" showed in select U.S. markets and became a camp hit favorite. Among the many featured guests were film director Roman Polanski and his wife Sharon Tate Polanski. Comedian Bill Cosby was a regular guest as were Sammy Davis Jr. and comedian Mort Sahl. Musical guests included the multi-talented Lola Falana and singer Linda Ronstadt.
