Radak Book 1: is a story of two men, Isaac and Mao, who grow up worlds apart in the mid-twentieth century. Mao's peaceful life is turned upside down by the sudden onset of the Korean War. After he escapes re-enlistment, he crosses paths with a strange being. Isaac's parents, pro-democracy activists, are murdered by the Sigurimi, the dreaded Albanian secret police. Soon after, they come knocking on Isaac's door again.
