Welcome to the small guide of the city of Reykjavik. Come and discover Reykjavik, the capital of a country that was still unknown not long ago, and which is now attracting more and more nature lovers. Traveling in Iceland is like traveling to another planet. On this land you will see amazing landscapes as there are none elsewhere. Located at the edge of the Arctic Circle, north of the Atlantic Ocean, close to the south coast of Greenland, Iceland is a volcanic country that will offer you a real lesson in geology.

Although of modest size, Reykjavík is surprisingly cosmopolitan and it is more than pleasant to stay several days to visit the city. It offers a surprising diversity of cultural and social activities, as well as numerous restaurants, cafes and trendy bars. It is an ideal place to stay and enjoy the city and is also the starting point of many natural sites for day trips to nearby areas such as the south of Iceland, the peninsula of Snæfellsnes or the western fjords, as well as the famous golden circle of Thingvellir National Park, the magnificent Gulfoss waterfall and the Geysir. You will also find many museums and galleries throughout the city, with presentations ranging from Viking relics to modern art exhibitions. Not to mention the bay of Reykjavik with pleasant walks along the water and in the parks.

Capital of modest size, it is possible to move in the center of Reykjavik on foot and in peace. Indeed the country is extremely safe and you will not see a lot of traffic. The atmosphere is calm and healthy. There are also buses that can take you to many places in the capital, and the possibility of renting a car to get off the beaten track. Discover also the charm of buildings with buildings that will have many different colors. Charming historic stone and wood buildings mingle with imaginative modern architecture such as the Harpa Concert Hall and the Conference Center.
