Robert "Big Bob" McCullough was a hit man for Al Capone's Chicago Outfit. Later he served as a policeman for several prominent race organizations. Specifically, these were the Miami Beach Kennel Club and the Sportsman's Park racetrack in Chicago. McCullough came under scrutiny following the murder of newspaper reporter and crime investigator William Drury. He was slain on September 25, 1950 while parking his Cadillac in the driveway of his northside Chicago home.
