Because of such a bad injury Rufus couldn't do the percussion for the Honker Chorus. Cruisin' Coyote gathers all the friends of Rufus to figure out how they can fill in for Rufus creating the percussion section. Rufus does recover enough to conduct his friends in the making of rhythms for the chorus.
