Surrenders

"Surrenders" brings us four books describing the fate of European men who find themselves in submission to the woman of colour From either East or West.

We begin our journey with "His Chinese Venus", the first of three books from Rafael Menton in which we are whisked into the world of the occult and the inexplicable as a handsome but down on his luck man applies for a job with a powerfully built Chinese woman. A powerful younger woman whose legs and alluring face with green-eyes that not only immediately captivate him but hold his attention dominate his attention Before the day is out he has not only moved into the home she shares with her petit but no less mesmeric assistant, but has fallen so far under her control that she feels confident enough to unveil the secret she carries between her legs that will place him at her command for the rest of his existence.

Up next we have "An Abject Fixation", in which the author asks the question: "Can the scent of a woman overpower a man with such force he will be unable to refuse her any demand?" For, according to the late-aunty of a young expat Indian woman named Hemani Jayashankar, this is certainly the case. If that young woman, like Hemani, is blessed with a certain family gift handed down over the centuries A gift that is about to fixate and enslave the happily married Englishman who just happens to be her boss.

Mr Menton's "Revisiting a Woman of Haiti", is up next as our writer gives us his homage to the great erotic horror fiction from a different century. A visitor with his tail between his legs after a devastating divorce that has ensured he will be vulnerable to the charms of a woman Even if she is his live-in housekeeper.
