Take Down, The Attempted Political Assassination of Patrick Brown

In that same report, CTV also said he was the initiator of a kiss with a female staffer. CTV later changed the times, the age and the place where the incident took place. A smear job paid for by whom? Brown launched an 8 million defamation suit in April of 2018 against CTV.

Those same advisors tweeted out their resignations while running out of a side door and already negotiations with campaigns for a leadership run that had not even been called. Brown did not wish to resign that evening, but it was too late. At around 1:30 a.m. his communications director tweeted out his resignation without his consent.

Powerful forces in Canada's national Conservative movement may well have played a role in his demise, but those responsible covered their track quickly. A party that under Patrick Brown's leadership was up 20 points in the polls and he was destined to be premier of the province. Today we see the Ford Government plummet in popularity as they may well have misunderstood that they were there to serve all people and not a narrow group of neo and populist Conservatives.
