The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe

The unnamed speaker arrives at the House of Usher, the creepy mansion belonging to his childhood friend Roderick Usher.Recently, Roderick was mentally ill and wrote to his friend, our narrator, to ask. Help The narrator took the time to admire the horrifyingly terrifying Usher building. While doing so, he explains that Roderick and his sister are the last Usher lineage and that the family is famous for their devotion to the arts. (Music, painting, literature, etc.), the narrator finally heads to see his friend.

Roderick appears to be sick. He suffers from "Sensory acuity" or overly sensitive sensitivity to light, sound, taste and sensation He felt that he would die of the fear he felt. He claimed part of his illness was the fact that his sister Madeline had epilepsy (epilepsy) and would soon die, and partly due to the belief that the house was creepy. Of him there is a feeling (Can perceive things) and has great power over him. He hasn't left the mansion in years. The narrator tries to help him escape death and all this grief by reading Roderick's favorite literature, music and art. It doesn't seem to help.

As predicted by Roderick, Madeline will die soon. At least we think so. All we do know is that Roderick told the narrator that she was dead and she appeared to die when he looked at her. Of course, with her catalepsy, she might seem dead after convulsions.Remember, at Roderick's request, the narrator helped him bury her body in the basement under the mansion. As they do so, the narrator discovers that the two are twins and that they share a supernatural bond that can be special.

About a week later, on a dark and stormy night, the narrator and Usher found themselves unable to sleep. They decide to go through a scary night by reading a book. As the narrator reads the message aloud, all the voices from the fictional story could be heard from below. Usher Mansion didn't take long. He jumped up and announced that they buried Madeline alive, and now she's coming back. Of course, the door opened and there was a trembling and bloodthirsty Madeline. She threw herself at Usher, who fell to the ground and, after suffering "severe", died along with his sister. The narrator escapes; Outside, he watched the House of Usher shatter in two and sink into the dark pond in front of it.

Edgar Allan Poe
