Monsieur and Madame Vignemal drowned while attempting to pay a courtesy visit to their neighbors across the river separating their two estates. An ill-considered visit, since the river was raging out of bounds during a sudden early snow storm. Will the husband's dandy nephew inherit since the Vignemals are childless?
