Barry Eric Odell Pain (Sep 28, 1864 - May 5, 1928) was an English journalist, poet and writer. Born in Cambridge, and educated at the university, he became a prominent contributor to "The Granta". He was known as a writer of parody and lightly humorous stories. The Ink is a short story by Barry Pain, included in "Eliza". Eliza and her husband are a simple couple living in London. Like any decent British, they rarely find themselves involved into something big. But small tend to find the way to bring some comedy into their routine. Small things, like ink for example.
