Lorenzo is a lonely widower who lives only for his son Theo and his work. He lost his wife a few years ago, and the grief still saddens him.
Since Theo is a child who needs care, being only six years old, Lorenzo's parents decide it's time to find a good nanny. They take care of Theo, but they notice that Lorenzo is still feeling worse with each passing day, especially as the two-year anniversary of his wife's death approaches.
During the interview with the young Alice, a woman with a degree in education who loves children, she quickly wins over Lorenzo's mother's heart.
