When we analyze the term human trafficking, the United Nations defines it as "the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons by improper means such as force, abduction, fraud, or coercion) for an improper purpose including labour or sexual exploitation. The main types which are most commonly discussed are sex trade, forced labour, organ harvesting and domestic servitude. There is however an aspect of human trafficking which doesn't get enough awareness as it should an engaging in open dialogue discussions should be encouraged as it addresses a key to understanding a bigger problem which has costly ramifications.

What is it you ask? Human Trafficking by Coercion or Deception by a Family Member. The nature of its familiarity is often downplayed on the types which are often spoken about but it is a grave and serious problem.

Immigration, immigration, immigration seems to be the hot topic word of the 20th century. There are a few misconceptions that generate fear, xenophobia, discrimination and apathy in regards to immigrants. Now a lot of negative statements have been directed towards this group which are easily seen as users, pests, takers of jobs and resources. In the U.S. there has been enforced efforts through ICE ( Immigration and Customs Enforcement) for massive deportations in compliance with legislative acts.

A novel was written by myself called "The Reality of the Dream "It addressed a situation which not only the two countries mentioned (Trinidad and Tobago as well as the United States) could benefit from but globally how to deal with the issue of underage unaccompanied migrant children who are brought to foreign countries under the guise of a better life by family legally and then is later left to fend for themselves which by then their status is illegal. With no way out as these children are seen and treated as the responsibility of their sponsors and without family support, limited resources and ignorance of their status these children fall into the system trying to survive.
