Ewan Juno remains among those cast into the Thousand-Year Labyrinth as part of a ritual intended to choose the next Emperor. Although the group has begun to deduce some of the maze's mysteries, their ongoing search for an exit is threatened by an ominous message scrawled in blood--"Amadeus is most fit for Emperor." Who could have written this message, and even more worrisome a question: isn't Amadeus already dead?
