Henry Van Waes, known as Hank around his small, holiday loving town tells about the the Christmas blizzard of '09. As he makes his way home from shopping trip in the city, we learn that things aren't so merry after all. Shortly before the clock strikes midnight, at the request of the town sheriff, Hank visits Mr. Everett, a harmless white haired old man who needs someone to watch over him until the morning. It isn't long before he accidentally discovers the shocking secret of holiday cheer and his decision to reveal the truth could jeopardize how the world perceives Christmas spirit.
