The 70's are remembered by most people for the "Disco" music, the strange clothes and the cocaine, as the main fuel of fun. However most people don't know it was also a decade of great technological advances that originated a true revolution as the appearance of the first PCs, the first cell phone and mainly, the huge development in cars like the introduction of braking discs or the environmental concerns. Another interesting feature of the 1970s was the lack of road legislation, that allowed a family car be transformed into a sporting car, like the Fiat 127, just changing its wheels and taking off the bumper.
For me it was in fact the decade when the most beautiful and iconic cars ever were built unlike the 80's, when the cars aesthetics and quality went down abruptly and the "plastic was king".
Because I am an unconditional classic cars lover, I decided write this illustrated book with several photographs and the first of a series, to show you what cars were on our roads at that time, its history and its rivals.
