Turning to God

If you are struggling with substance abuse or an out-of-control compulsive habit, you are not alone. Whether because of the impact on your own life or on those you love you have realized the negative effects, you know the situation is beyond your control and you're in despair. You're not alone.

Many people who have felt this same despair, have turned to God for help, and have found freedom, hope, and joy in their lives.

They discovered that no matter how great the amount of will power they possessed, believing in their own power to solve their problem was not the answer. Believing that there is one greater than themselves, and turning their lives over to that higher power was the only way to begin a life-long walk to full recovery, one day at a time.

This Scripture booklet will help to guide you on a spiritual path that leads to knowing God, trusting God, inviting God into your life and moving forward under God's direction and care. The four sections of this booklet mark four important phases on your path toward spiritual fulfillment and fellowship with God.

As you do this, seek the special guidance of individuals you feel you can trust and whose spiritual walk with God you admire.
