3 P's for Potty

This is a cute little children's picture book where the character, Gia, is learning more appropriate potty behavior. Most potty training books focus on helping young children to be more comfortable with the process of using the toilet. This story focuses on helping children to learn that toys, food and other items are not appropriate for the potty and adds in some light humor (encourage toddler learning). The book also emphasizes emotions, particularly from Gia's mother who shows various emotions toward her daughter during their conversation in the bathroom. Ask your child questions about what Gia is doing on each page and have him/her ask questions about what he/she understands from the story. Is Gia just being silly about what can go into the potty? Or is she just truly curious and trying to understand what the 3 P's really are?

This short book is only 30 pages long, with a beautiful illustration between each page that shows the emotions of Gia and/or her mom. It only takes about five minutes to read the book, making it a short and fun teaching tool for your child. Rachael Tarfman-Perez has included activities to personalize the book for your child.
