Kevin is a native of Newfoundland and Labrador. He was born in St. John's in 1942 and grew up in Holyrood, Conception Bay. He is a graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador and taught school for thirty years; eighteen of which were in Labrador City. For the last fourteen years of his career he taught Theatre Arts in Labrador City and St. John's. Kevin has been involved in theatre since 1974 as an Actor and Director. He has also worked in lm, TV and radio. He recently played the boat captain in The Grand Seduction, a movie lmed in the Trinity area. Since 2002, he has been acting in and directing summer Dinner Theatre in Ferryland.

He was married to Peggy Davis of Holyrood for twenty-three years. Peggy passed away from IPF (idiopathic pulmonary brosis) in 1991 at the age of forty- three. They had three sons - Kevin Jr., Jonathan, and Chad, who passed away in 2002, also from IPF. He was twenty-nine years old.
