A Tale of Three Continents is a stream of consciousness about how human skin complexions have dictated people's behaviour towards one another. The book is a result of the inspiration of a Kenyan politician named Thomas Joseph Mboya who, even before Kenya achieved Independence in 1963, was working hard to achieve funds for multiple scholarships and air tickets to United States. The interesting thought, for me, was that he sought educational opportunities for Africans in a country that had, in effect, never opened up to the children of Africa. While all this is taking place, Kenyans, Ugandans and other Africans are not only battling colonial history but their own brothers (never sisters) who have inherited colonial government power as dictators. This is a story of a human network of friendships that overcome adversarial history but also fails sometimes across three continents. You have never read a book like this one!
