The three novellas in this book are about murders that take Ron and Sally, both Seattle Police officers, from their first meeting, The Man Who Died Twice, being married, The Invisible Assassins, and into retirement, The Cow Blood Case.

One of the three short stories, "The Weapon", is a retirement story also about Ron and Sally in France. The two remaining short stories are about how important our own self-image is to us, "DeJa Vu", and how Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD, can work its way into our life, "How Can We Stop the Wind".

The three very short stories all have happy endings, however, it may not seem like it until you think about it. All of the stories in this volume are meant to be light entertainment, however, a writer can only write what they know. The great thing about fiction is the writer can write about things they know but can't talk about. They can change names, dates, and places and tell real stories that couldn't be told otherwise.

All these stories have a deeper meaning than just for entertainment. If it isn't buried too deep it may give the reader reason to look into the mirror and ask a question that starts with, Do I?, Should I?, Did I?, Could I?, Would I?, or something else that requires an honest answer about who they are. It may help us get to know ourselves just a little better.
