This book was written solely as an accounting of real-life adventures; wild adventures that some may find a little difficult to believe that all these things could happen to one in a relatively short space of time. Hopefully, you will be inspired to see our great God as the most awesome adventurer that could be known because that is an exact representation of what He's really like. I say these are wild adventures because they are out of the ordinary and many of them were in the wilds of nature. Coming face to face with an African lion, or having a grizzly bear roar over you as you're cuddled up in your sleeping bag in Alaska is Wild; as is venturing into the forbidden, forest-dwelling headhunter country in Southeast Asia. These and many other adventures await your exploration. The few excerpts below will show you a little of what you're about to explore:

• "My first thought was that it must be a dog starting to move around. But as quickly as that thought came, another followed it with the biggest surprise of my life. Racing toward us with lightning speed was a full-grown African lion"

• "Sometime during the night while fast asleep in my sleeping bag I was awakened by the breaking of a mulberry branch immediately outside my tent. It wasn't just an ordinary break; it was a loud snap that seemingly could have awakened the whole campground. Suddenly adventure turned into great fear. My imagination ran wild as I contemplated that just outside my tent hovering over my defenseless body was a huge grizzly bear. It only took a few seconds......"

• "As he prayed his heart out, unknown to him, these men were gathering around behind him with the Chief out front with his bolo raised. Just as the chief was ready to come down upon Gary's neck with his bolo, a surprising event and a major miracle took place."

• "Just a couple days before our journey, there were two men and a little toddler coming down the mountain in a logging truck and came upon a car that appeared to be broken down in the middle of this old dirt road. As the men stopped to see what had happened, they were attacked and decapitated, along with the toddler. If I did not have enough fear and plenty to spare, I sure had enough now. In just a couple of days, we were about to journey into this same vicinity of the island and put our lives on the line, having only our faith as a weapon of defense."
