Some pioneers' names are: Clifton, Benedict, Bigley, Easterday, Heller, Houghton, Louden, Melbourn, Norris, Osborn, Overmyer, Rector, Romig, Stahl, Tabor, Vanschoiack, Wickizer, Wise, and Zechiel. These first homesteaders became bankers, merchants, farmers, builders, and workmen, and built the community we now enjoy.
