ALTERNATIVE TRUTHS is about the possibilities of a mad and confusing time," said Brown, who published the book through BCubedPress. "A bombastic billionaire golf-course developer and reality TV-show host has become the most powerful man in the world. Hundreds of stories can come out of that, and ALTERNATIVE TRUTHS has 24 of the best of them."
Contributors to ALTERNATIVE TRUTHS include political blogger Jim Wright, whose alternate history imagines "President Trump, Gettysburg, November 19, 1863." Brown and Radford chose stories by Wright, Louise Marley, Adam Troy-Castro, Daniel M. Kimmel, and 20 others, and procured a forward from Rick Dunham, past president of the National Press Club.
The enthusiastic reception for ALTERNATIVE TRUTHS surprised even Brown, who's been watching it climb the science fiction and anthology rankings on Amazon.com.
A portion of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the ACLU of Washington, at the time of this writing the book has already raised over $500 for the ACLU.
