Psyche's remarkable beauty has earned the wrath of Aphrodite. The Goddess of Love sends Cupid to punish Psyche, but when Cupid stands over nubile, naked Psyche, he knows he wants her. Instead of cursing her, as Aphrodite ordered, Cupid takes Psyche as his bride, but he conceals his identity from her, coming to her only in the night.
