An Unexpected Captivity

Heather Sullivan and her three best friends are looking forward to a fun weekend at the coast with their church orchestra. Robert Hiller surprises Heather with a beautiful engagement ring shortly before they and their friends are sickened by a dinner that was drugged by some infiltrators hoping to abduct more than a few people into their behavior study. The faculty of a Christian boarding school and seminary didn't expect that their corporate sponsor would break promises after the sponsor spent millions on renovations and buying the school new books, instruments and equipment. The faculty didn't know the price of the upgrades would be a year of the faculty becoming unwilling caregivers to behavior study subjects. The faculty also didn't expect their children and retired family members would also be exposed to the rigors of the poorly managed behavior study program. Heather and her best friends eventually recognize two of their caregivers as beloved friends they know from happier circumstances. David and Beau Seagraves learn along with Heather and her friends that a TV studio terrorist attack; a school shooting; a writer's convention food poisoning; a church orchestra's bus jacking and their own abductions are all related crimes of the behaviorists collecting subjects for their work study program. The unethical corporate sponsor gives failed psychology professors free reign to do their studies in order to write thesis material in hopes of them winning tenure at universities. Their leader calls himself El Capitan. He is also the director of a mental hospital for registered drug and sex offenders. El Capitan allows some of those incarcerated doctors and nurses to participate in operations of the behavior studies. The unethical behaviorists have a cadre of willing subjects who participate in the relationship studies. These university students didn't expect to be subjected to the same emotional and physical abuses as the unwilling subjects, when they signed up for their work study program to gain credits for their degrees and earn money. A couple of captive medical doctors and the Seagraves finally find an opportunity to act on a plan to expose the awful truths of the program when Heather has a medical crisis that can't be handled in El Capitan's private hospital. El Capitan reluctantly allows the doctors to take heather to a proper hospital for treatment. El Capitan doesn't realize his program is going to be terminated until one strange night when friends of the doctors and the Seagraves bring a posse of law enforcers to infiltrate the facility to arrest the behaviorists and El Capitan to begin the process of interviewing all the subjects faculty families then sending the captives home.
