In the year 2097, the Malchovist Accord declared that Artificial Intelligence was illegal. No scientific experimentation, nor harboring of anything that even resembled it was to be tolerated. Wireless technology was abandoned, and even calculators were outlawed.
Why?
Nuclear devastation has a way of changing people's opinions of things.
It was mutually agreed by those that survived the Legion Virus that anyone in violation was a traitor to the human race, so quite naturally, no one even flinched when scientists who dabbled in any kind of technological advancement were shot on sight.
Now, 340 years later, Travis Harding is out in a sandstorm on an alien planet looking for a droid. One he's pretty sure is in total violation of the Malchovist Accord. Then again, he is also flying in a ship that violates that Accord as well.
Travis has already made enemies, he just doesn't know it yet. No matter where he goes, they always seem to find him.
Now, if he could only find Angel...
