With the publication of the poetic trilogy "antigonoi", .ParkerStergis. moves ahead with its aim of demonstrating the continuity of Greek culture as a unique means of confronting any kind of political, moral or existential crisis. The first part of the trilogy "antigonoi 1122" consists of poems composed during the poet's adolescence and early adulthood. Here the poet registers and points out, struggles against and cancels the moments which locate his presence in time and space, beginning and ending with treason. Unaffected and undistracted by 'succession wars' and dynastic aspirations, he concentrates on transcending Sophocles' Antigone and adopts throughout the conjunctive synthesis of 'both this and that, along with whatever exists in between'.
