Lakieshia Stapleton Jelenke is a 23-year-old up-and-coming writer specialising in the welfare of children. Her great creative influences include writers such as Maya Angelou, James Baldwin, Michelle Obama, Susan Jeffers, Raupi Kaur, Pierre Jeanty, and Reyna Biddy. Musically, her main inspirations are Lauryn Hill, Kehlani, India Aire, Jhene Aiko, Mahalia, and Emeli Sandé.
