Honore De Balzac (20 March 1799 18 August 1850) was a French novelist and playwright. He is one of founder of literary realism in European literature. His work had influence on many writers such as Marcel Proust, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Henry James, Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx.
