THE POLICE WERE READY TO PIN A MURDER RAP ON BRAD DOLANIF HE COULD STAY ALIVE THAT LONG!
"Believable characters fine sense of place, well-integrated anecdotal material (no doubt autobiographical), liberal doses of action and sex ... a compelling read." Bill Pronzini
Brad Dolan hit Miami with the urge for food, fun and a short fling. The hotels were filled and the desk clerks all turned their noses up at Dolan as if they smelled something bad.
Then a woman drifted up to the desk and fitted herself against Brad like a long-lost flame. She turned out to be the stripper in the hotel's floor show, and her honeyed tone persuaded the clerk to give Dolan a room.
All she wanted in return was a teensy-wenny little favor. All Dolan had to do was pick up the very cold trail to her dead husband's mising legacy.
Dolan was dubious and disinclined. Then that night he caught her act, and he was hooked. He and no idea a chase was on that would lead him from the neon jungle of Miami Beach to the deadly perils of a lush, almost forgotten island in the Bahamas.
There a dead man had left behind a gigantic con game, and a hells brew of torture and death was waiting just for Dolan.
"If you've never met Brad Dolan big, handsome, hell-for-leather, hunk of manhood who operates on his lonesome, whose weaknesses are women and adventureit's about time. A Caribbean-dictator and his goons, a beautiful blonde, and a dead husband with a missing legacy are the potent little items this one is spiced with. Hot, racy and very exciting reading." Long Beach (CA) Press-Telegram
