I'm writing this book, or as I call it, my cheap travel guide to traveling like a baller, because throughout my life I've learned how to travel like a baller on a budget. I discovered early in life that I have a passion for traveling and the finer things in life. I never traveled much as a child, but when I turned seventeen I took my first flight to New York City and loved it.

The bar had been set pretty high because of my early ballin' experiences. I knew I didn't want to lower the bar much, so I found ways to travel like a baller, yet cheaply. I had to be creative and do lots of research. I learned through trial and error and have made mistakes along the way. Since then I have traveled to all the places that I went to in my earlier life with ballers, but in most cases with half the money.

I decided to write this guide because my friends keep asking me, "How can you afford to travel so much?" "How could you afford to go here or there?" "How can you afford to stay here or there?" "How can you afford to eat here or there?" "Can you find me cheap airfare?" "Can you find me nice hotels for cheap?" "Can you find me nice restaurants to dine at for cheap?"

My friends would tell me that I should be a travel agent. I would tell them that I want to be the one traveling, not the one making travel arrangements. I want to dine at fine restaurants, not find restaurants for others to dine at. So I would give them tips on how to travel on a budget like a baller. My friend Toni said to me one day, "You need to write a book. I would be the first one to buy it." This comment, which she made so many times, stayed in the back of my mind. I knew it was a great idea, one that I would someday make happen. It would be a way of sharing with my friends and with all of you my secrets on how I am still able to ball on a budget.
