Young Ryan Woods thought his troubles were over when his father died. They were just starting. For his father is none other than the ancient folklore character The Boogeyman and he has come back from hell to feed off the fears of friends and neighbors in the small town of Waverly, Missouri and it's up to Ryan, along with his doubting mother and a lonely priest she likes, to stop him.
