"Becoming Medusa" is a contemporary reimagining of the myth of Medusa, exploring her character in a way that has not yet been done before. The story delves into the complexities of her life, beyond the well-known curse, but changing the tragic ending to one that she embraces. It is a tale of empowerment, and self-discovery, offering a fresh feminist perspective on a character traditionally portrayed as a monstrous villain.

Becoming Medusa is a tale about a young woman Born and raised in a small town and now working at a dead end job that takes up all her time, she has little time to have any social life. After a lifetime of society accepting the mistreatment of women including her own, the main character starts to change. Each micro aggression at work, unwanted touching at the store, everyday moments in a sexist world brings out the monster living inside her.

Throughout the story the main character reflects back into her past reliving moments in life where men have mistreated her. While reliving the moment, she feels the sensation of the snakes showing themself. Medusa finds herself unable to control herself or the monster she is becoming.
