After returning from a lengthy captivity, Anna must set her house in order, answer the questions of the police, reconnect with Karen to understand their mutual experience of the creature, try to discover why she was taken by the Being, and come to terms with the transformation she has undergone.

Karen's Story A Dream of Tentacles (A Tentacles of Chaos Story) In this short story, Karen tells her version of events leading up to and culminating in the dream experience of the alien creature that she shares with Anna.
